台灣運彩表示，以上一季為例，金州勇士贏得73勝，若以金州勇士為投注標的的彩迷，在一般的不讓分玩法中，大多數都可以抱回彩金，史上最成功21點團隊的傳奇經歷因此鎖定強隊賽事是最基本的投注法則；也有彩迷喜愛投注「特別項目」的玩法如「冠軍」及「例行賽MVP」等，台灣運彩上一球季特別項目的玩法銷售就超過5,000萬元。
對於NBA「特別項目」的投注，有兩種投注方法，一是開季時就投注，因為開季時各隊比賽較不穩定，台灣運彩表示，所開出賠率一定比較好，建議彩迷可鎖定上季表現出色的隊伍來投注；另一種就是在季中投注，經過半季的觀察，知道各家球隊的表現再來投注，雖然此時的賠率比較低，可是贏得獎金的機率比較高，是比較穩定的投注。
除了上述兩種投注的類型外，據了解，也有彩迷在「籃球特尾樂」贏得6,000倍獎金。「籃球特尾樂」是台灣運彩去年年底新推出的運彩玩法，只要選定4支球隊預測最終賽果的尾數，4個尾數及排列組合正確就可以抱回6,000倍的大獎，所以有特定的一群彩迷投注，正想從中抱回獎金。
台灣運彩說，每場賽事的尾數都是機率型出現，彩迷會去統計特定隊伍尾數出現的機率進而投注或利用幸運數字來投注，往往都有出其不意的收穫。
籃球特尾樂共有4種玩法，包含4尾、3尾、2尾及1尾的投注，根據台灣運彩的統計，彩迷最愛投注2尾，通常彩迷會選定當日兩支對戰的球隊來預測最方便，在11月5日籃球特尾樂的2尾獎金支出率就高達126％，顯示2尾投注較其他更容易中獎。
